Thanks so much to everyone who came out to Friday’s Launch Party at Casa del Popolo. When doors opened at 8:30, there was already a line-up running outside the door – and it didn’t take long for our list of filmmakers to be completely full up. We’re so grateful for the number of filmmakers who showed up, and so excited to see what tiny masterpieces you create.
This year’s M60 theme was revealed to be:
ADVENTURE
Besides registration, and a give-away of extraordinary hand-drawn Montreal maps by Adam Waito, we also had marvelous talks by Adam Gollner (buy his book), on his quest for the ladyfruit, and D’Arcy O’Connor, on Montreal’s West End Gang. Plus turtles, bearded lizards, and a gigantic python courtesy of surprise guests Reptizoo.
But now is the fun part. One month for our registered filmmakers to create their movies! Films are due August 23 – details for submissions are here. Good luck!
